I am currently recruiting for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join my clients busy manufacturing facility in Horsham, West Sussex.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established organisation offering long term stability and a varied working environment.

The successful Electrical Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for maintaining and improving a range of production equipment and site services.

You will play a key role in ensuring machinery operates efficiently, minimising downtime and supporting overall operational performance.

This position would suit an electrically biased engineer who enjoys fault finding and working in a hands-on role.

Please note, this is working a late shift, Monday - Friday 15:00 - 23:00 hours.

Electrical Maintenance Engineer Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs across site equipment and facilities.
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults to minimise downtime.
  • Support the continuous improvement of equipment reliability and performance.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities are completed safely and in line with site procedures.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate maintenance records and schedules.
  • Ensure equipment is operating efficiently and safely at all times.

Electrical Maintenance Engineer Requirements

  • NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent in Electrical Engineering.
  • 18th Edition would be beneficial.
  • Previous experience working with 3 phase systems.
  • Strong electrical fault finding and diagnostic skills, including PLC.
  • Previous experience working within a production or manufacturing environment would be advantageous.
  • Ability to carry out both planned and reactive maintenance.
  • Good understanding of health and safety practices.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive and hands on approach.
  • Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Forklift license would also be beneficial.

Electrical Maintenance Engineer Benefits

  • Salary - Β£50,000 - Β£55,000 depending on experience.
  • Working hours – 15:00 – 23:00 hours Monday – Friday
  • 25 days holiday + bank holidays.
