I am recruiting for a Project Engineer to join a specialist engineering business supporting complex defence related electronic systems. This role focuses on the ongoing upgrade and support of legacy electronic equipment, including obsolescence management, supplier coordination and supporting products through build and delivery. The position would suit an engineer with strong electronics knowledge who enjoys practical engineering work combined with project responsibility.

The Role
- Supporting electronics upgrade and obsolescence projects.
- Liaising with external design subcontractors and suppliers.
- Coordinating procurement of electronic components and materials.
- Supporting build, integration and testing activities.
- Providing technical support throughout project delivery.
- Working closely with internal teams and customers.
What We're Looking For
- Strong electronics engineering knowledge and practical experience.
- Hands-on fault finding and problem solving ability.
- Previous engineering or project support experience.
- HNC, HND, Degree or equivalent engineering experience.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Must be willing and eligible to obtain SC clearance.
- Candidates from defence, aerospace, communications, rail, marine or other electronics engineering environments are encouraged to apply.
