We are recruiting on behalf of our client who is looking for a Military Plant Engineer to join their team based in Larkhill. This is a great opportunity for candidates from military or commercial engineering backgrounds looking for a stable, long term role supporting equipment and plant machinery across military environments. The role is mainly workshop based with regular overtime available.

The Role

  • You will be responsible for the maintenance, servicing and repair of plant equipment and mechanical handling equipment.
  • Fault finding, servicing and repairs on plant and associated equipment.
  • Carrying out inspections and maintenance checks.
  • Maintaining accurate service and maintenance records.
  • Supporting equipment handovers and exchanges.
  • Working safely in line with current health and safety standards.
  • Supporting operational teams with technical advice where required.

What we're looking for

  • Mechanical engineering experience.
  • Experience working on plant equipment, mechanical handling equipment or similar machinery.
  • NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent engineering qualification.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Strong fault finding and repair skills.
  • Military engineering backgrounds are highly encouraged to apply.
  • This role would suit candidates from REME, Royal Engineers, Royal Navy Marine Engineering or RAF Mechanical Engineering backgrounds.
  • Plant Fitters, Forklift Engineers, Mechanical Handling Equipment Engineers, Crane Engineers, Construction Plant Engineers or candidates with experience maintaining heavy mechanical or plant equipment are encouraged to apply.
