I am excited to partner with a leading manufacturing company who are based in Leeds and have a vacancy for an Engineering Team Leader to join their team. The successful Engineering Team Leader will lead a small maintenance team and will ensure that the onsite operation runs smoothly. This is an excellent opportunity to join a small friendly team working Monday to Friday, offering a competitive salary. Candidates with a multi skilled background coming from the Royal Navy, British Army or Royal Air Force are encouraged to apply. Engineering Team Leader Responsibilities: Conduct daily maintenance tasks with the team and take the lead on escalating breakdowns. Liaise with the Planning department to schedule in routine maintenance and assign the maintenance tasks to the engineers. Ensure any new machinery defects which are reported to maintenance are assigned to an engineer and ensure that defect rectification is conducted in a timely and efficient manner. Maintain stock control of engineering stores, to identify and order all required spares / parts. Attend Risk Observation and Continuous Improvement meetings, to offer opinions and solutions and be responsible for planning and assigning any maintenance actions. Manage 5S within the department.
