My client is a leading energy company operating throughout the UK and overseas. Due to continued expansion, they have a vacancy for a CHP Engineer in the Midlands / South. Candidates will ideally be based in Birmingham, Royal Leamington Spa, Banbury, Reading, Winchester, Crawley, Frome or close surrounding areas.
The successful Engineer will provide support to the Operations team providing guidance and support during breakdowns. Due to the nature of the role, candidates must have extensive experience of conducting the overhaul of reciprocating generating assets with knowledge of MWM, CATCG / MTU equipment.
CHP Engineer Requirements:- Have proven experience of working with engines and a recognised Mechanical Engineering qualification to Level 3.
- Extensive knowledge of gas engines / generators particularly MWM / CATCG / MTU.
- Strong knowledge and experience of mechanical and electrical maintenance.
- Proven fault finding and diagnostic skills.
- Able to work on own initiative.
- Experience of working with AC / DC control panels.
- Ability to take part in a callout rota.
- Flexible approach to travel and staying away from home overnight occasionally.
- IT Literate.
- Hold full UK driving licence.
- Annual salary of £57K basic OTE of up to £63,500.
- Monday to Friday – 40 hours.
- Company van, mobile phone, laptop, uniform and PPE provided.
- Overtime and callout payments.
