Our client is a leading manufacturer of bespoke engineering equipment, and, due to continued expansion, they are now seeking a

Field Service Engineer to join their team.

The successful candidate will be home based, covering Reading, Chippenham, Oxford and Basingstoke, carrying out installation, commissioning, calibrating, servicing and fault-finding activities on customer sites.

Please note, this role does include working away from home to suit business needs, in return you will receive additional overnight payments and all expenses covered.

  • Carry out commissioning, calibration and servicing of bespoke engineering equipment on customer sites.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical, electronic and electro-mechanical faults.
  • Ensure all work is completed in accordance with company procedures and customer site requirements.
  • Provide excellent customer support and technical advice when on site.
  • Travel regularly throughout the designated regional area with occasional overnight stays where required.
  • Promote high standards of Health & Safety and quality compliance at all times, adhere to site safety regulations, permit to work systems and risk assessments.
  • NVQ Level 3 (minimum) in an Electrical, Electronic, or Mechanical engineering.
  • Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic capabilities.
  • Previous experience working with calibration equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering schematics and technical drawings.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Flexible approach to travel and customer site work.
  • IT literate with experience using service reporting systems.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Company car or car allowance provided.
  • Overtime opportunities available.
