We’re looking for a dedicated and compassionate Assistant Housekeeper to join Demelza and help create a clean, safe and welcoming home environment for children, young people and their families.
In this hands-on role, you’ll support the upkeep of our hospice environment by carrying out cleaning, laundry and infection control duties, preparing family rooms, and helping maintain high standards across all areas. You’ll also work closely with volunteers and step in to support the Deputy Housekeeper when needed.
We’re looking for someone who:
• Has experience in housekeeping (ideally in healthcare or hospitality)
• Takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness
• Is organised, reliable and able to work both independently and as part of a team
• Brings empathy and sensitivity when working with families and children
