Are you someone who enjoys making things happen supporting people to thrive and creating positive experiences for volunteers and employees? We’re looking for someone who is practical, people-focused and will drive innovation, engagement and compliance in key areas.

About the role

As Head of Volunteering, Training and Wellbeing you’ll lead the day-to-day running and development of three core areas to support Demelza’s strategic objectives:

  • Volunteering: ensuring our volunteers feel welcomed, supported and valued; driving innovation, engagement and compliance through robust systems and processes.
  • Training: coordinating, creating and delivering learning opportunities for employees and volunteers from induction to ongoing development.
  • Wellbeing: helping create an environment where people feel safe and supported.

You’ll provide leadership for a team of nine and work closely with colleagues across the charity to make sure our people feel looked after and ready to make a difference.

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has experience managing volunteering programmes or people learning and development.
  • Is organised, approachable and confident working with people at all levels.
  • Enjoys improving systems and solving problems.
  • Cares deeply about inclusion and wellbeing.

This is a part‑time role of 34 hours per week across 4 or 5 days.
