The Role We are seeking a thorough and highly motivated Management Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a brand defined by craftsmanship, quality, and thoughtful growth, while developing your expertise within a high‑performing finance function. In this role, you will support the delivery of accurate and insightful financial reporting, playing a key part in the preparation of management accounts and the integrity of our financial processes. As a business, we are committed to evolving continuously and refining everything we do. We are looking for someone who is naturally curious, detail‑driven, and motivated to enhance systems and processes. With the recent implementation of a new ERP system, you will also have the opportunity to contribute to its ongoing optimisation and evolution.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the preparation of monthly management accounts, including journal posting (accruals, prepayments, donations), reconciliations and analysis of data
  • Maintain accurate and well‑structured accounting records, ensuring all transactions are recorded with integrity
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes, contributing to informed decision‑making
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations with a high degree of accuracy
  • Contribute to month‑end and year‑end close processes, ensuring smooth and timely delivery
  • Assist with audit processes and respond to auditor requests with professionalism and clarity
  • Support stock analysis and reconciliation activities
  • Prepare VAT returns (or equivalent) across multiple jurisdictions
  • Collaborate with senior members of the finance team on ad‑hoc projects and strategic initiatives
  • Proactively identify opportunities to enhance controls, processes, and efficiencies
  • Ensure full compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and internal controls at all times

Requirements:

  • Currently part‑qualified or studying towards ACCA, CIMA, or ACA
  • Minimum of 1 year’s experience in a similar role
  • Strong analytical mindset with exceptional attention to detail
  • Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with complex data sets
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and regulatory frameworks (GAAP/IFRS)
  • Proactive, self‑motivated, and driven to deliver work of the highest standard
  • A natural problem‑solver with a structured and thoughtful approach
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and composure
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
  • Experience with ERP systems, particularly implementations or upgrades, is highly advantageous
  • Demonstrable experience with account reconciliations
