DeMellier is a London-based brand that was founded with the vision of doing things differently: to design handbags that would make women feel empowered, made ethically and sustainably, while giving back to those who need it most. These principles guide everything we do. All our pieces are crafted ethically in Europe using the finest sustainably sourced materials, we champion equality, and for every piece sold, we fund vaccines and medical treatments aimed to save the life of a child in need. So far, through our permanent charity initiative, ‘A Bag, A Life’, in partnership with SOS Children’s Villages, we have funded over 2,000,000 vaccines. Join us and be part of an award-winning, purpose-driven brand that fosters creativity, collaboration, and meaningful impact within the luxury industry.

The Role:

We are looking for a Senior Video Editor to own and elevate all motion output across the brand. This role is responsible for creating, editing, and delivering high-quality motion assets that reflect the brand’s luxury positioning and visual identity. You will be the go‑to expert for motion, bringing strong taste, pacing, and storytelling to everything from campaign films to social content, email animations, and web‑ready assets. Reporting to the Head of Creative, this is a senior role with significant autonomy, requiring you to self‑review work, proactively propose solutions, and uphold consistently high creative standards. You will also work in close partnership with Graphic Design, Marketing, E‑commerce, and other key stakeholders across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own all motion and video assets across the brand, from concept through final delivery
  • Edit and produce campaign films, organic and paid social media assets, web and email motion content
  • Select and curate footage in close collaboration with the Head of Creative, ensuring alignment with overall creative direction
  • Develop and maintain cohesive, premium motion systems that are recognisably on‑brand
  • Ensure all motion output aligns with brand tone, pacing, and storytelling standards
  • Manage motion handovers, timelines, and delivery across multiple projects
  • Organise and maintain motion assets, ensuring efficient workflows and adherence to project timelines
  • Lead internal motion review rounds, consolidating and incorporating feedback from key stakeholders
  • Self‑critique and refine work prior to review, presenting considered and well‑resolved outputs
  • Act as the final quality gate for motion, ensuring creative excellence before assets are approved
  • Provide feedback and guidance on motion‑related work as needed across the wider creative team
  • Collaborate closely with the Head of Creative to support motion concepts
  • Translate creative direction into strong, well‑resolved motion executions with minimal revision
  • Make confident execution‑level creative decisions around timing, transitions, rhythm, and visual emphasis
  • Identify and flag opportunities where motion can enhance campaigns, content, and overall brand storytelling

The Ideal candidate:

  • 5+ years’ experience in motion design and video editing, ideally within fashion, luxury, or premium brands, gained in‑house and/or agency‑side
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating taste‑led, brand‑focused motion work across campaign, product, and marketing content (not purely technical execution)
  • Excellent proficiency in DaVinci Resolve, Adobe After Effects, and Premiere Pro
  • Strong understanding of pacing, rhythm, typography in motion, and visual narrative
  • Confident in colour correction and grading for digital‑first, brand‑led motion content
  • Experience delivering motion assets across multiple channels, including social, email, web, and paid media
  • Comfortable working at pace, iterating based on feedback, and maintaining a high bar of quality
  • Familiarity with AI‑powered creative tools such as Midjourney and other platforms to support ideation and accelerate workflows
  • Strong understanding of brand consistency and the application of visual systems across touchpoints
  • Experience working across the full motion workflow, from concept and storyboarding through to final delivery
  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities independently while meeting tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including confidence presenting work and liaising with internal teams and external partners
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong ownership mindset
