DeMellier is opening its first physical store on Sloane Square in September 2026, and we are looking for an exceptional Senior Sales Adviser to be part of the team that opens it. The role focuses on building relationships and creating meaningful client connections rather than simply selling products. Success is measured not only through immediate results, but through the strength and longevity of the client relationships developed over time.
Client Experience and Clienteling
- Deliver a personalised client experience from first interaction through to purchase and beyond.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through consistent follow-up and thoughtful clienteling.
- Adapt your approach to each client, ensuring a welcoming, considered, and elevated experience.
- Support the VIP clienteling programme, ensuring appointments, outreach, and follow-up activities are completed to a high standard.
Commercial Performance
- Maintain a strong focus on key performance metrics, including conversion rate, average transaction value, units per transaction, and CRM capture rate, using them to guide improvement and support overall performance.
- Develop a clear understanding of what drives performance and where there are opportunities to improve, combining data with insight and perspective.
- Support the AM in daily team briefings by sharing commercial awareness and observations from the floor.
- Contribute to identifying and acting on opportunities to grow revenue through clienteling, outreach, and the in‑store experience.
Brand and Product Knowledge
- Develop a strong understanding of the DeMellier story, including its founding values, craftsmanship, materials, supply chain, and the A Bag, A Life initiative.
- Recognise that each product detail reflects thoughtful decisions and can be shared authentically with clients.
- Stay informed on new arrivals, seasonal launches, and product updates.
- Represent the brand consistently through behaviour, communication, presentation, and the overall client experience.
Operations and Keyholder Responsibilities
- Responsible for independently opening and closing the store as a keyholder, ensuring consistent standards are maintained at all times.
- Act as floor lead in the absence of the AM, upholding commercial, operational, and client experience standards with confidence and accountability.
- Support stock management, replenishment, and back‑of‑house organisation to ensure alignment with front‑of‑house standards.
- Contribute to the smooth running of daily operations through a proactive and solutions‑focused approach.
Team and Store
- Be a visible presence on the shop floor, leading by example and setting the standard for elevated client experience and brand representation.
- Support and inspire the Sales Adviser team to deliver an elevated client experience within a warm, high‑performing, and values‑led culture.
- Support the pre‑opening phase alongside the SM and AM, completing all required training and brand onboarding in preparation for the store opening in September 2026.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years' experience in luxury or premium retail.
- Proven ability to build client relationships and drive sales performance.
