The Art Director is responsible for bringing DeMellier's creative vision to life across campaigns, shoots, and brand content. Working closely with the Founder/Creative Director, this role leads the execution of visual concepts from idea through to delivery, ensuring every output reflects the brand's elevated aesthetic, craftsmanship, and storytelling. This is a hands-on, senior creative role with ownership of shoot direction, visual quality, and creative execution across all channels, while championing the DeMellier customer and brand values in every decision.

Responsibilities

  • Campaign & Creative Direction: Concept, develop and deliver seasonal and ad-hoc campaigns; translate creative direction into clear, compelling visual storytelling across all channels; contribute to and shape a cohesive, elevated creative point of view; ensure content balances brand storytelling with performance.
  • Shoot Direction & Execution: Lead shoots end-to-end, from concept through to delivery; develop mood boards, treatments, and shoot decks; direct on-set and remote shoots, leading all creative talent and partners; balance creative ambition with timelines, budgets, and operational efficiency.
  • Motion & Content Leadership: Lead all video and motion output across campaigns and brand content; manage internal and external motion teams, directors, and post-production; ensure consistency between still and moving image.
  • Visual Quality & Craft: Own the quality and consistency of all imagery and content; lead selects, retouching, and post-production to the highest standard; set and maintain a premium standard of product representation; translate craftsmanship, materials, and product detail into refined storytelling; build and evolve a library of product and craft assets across all channels.
  • Brand Alignment & Creative Evolution: Champion the DeMellier customer and brand values across all output; contribute to the wider brand world—from retail to events and activations—bringing original, on-brand creative ideas to life; partner closely with Graphic Design to ensure a cohesive and elevated visual language across all touchpoints; collaborate with Marketing, E-commerce, PR, and Commercial teams to align creative with business priorities; build and lead a network of world-class creative collaborators; stay culturally and creatively informed across fashion, art, and visual culture; use AI-powered tools to support concepting, visual exploration, mood boards, and creative presentations; stay current with emerging technologies, integrating AI thoughtfully to enhance creativity while maintaining a human-led perspective.

Qualifications

  • 5 - 10+ years of Art Direction experience within luxury or premium fashion, accessories, beauty or other brand-led high-end consumer products.
  • Highly creative mind with exceptional visual taste level and attention to detail.
  • Proven experience leading shoots end-to-end with high-quality output.
  • Highly organised with strong project management skills.
  • Balances creativity with commercial awareness.
  • Great team player who enjoys working in a high-paced environment.
  • Experience using AI-powered tools to support concepting, visual exploration, mood boards, and creative presentations; stay current with emerging technologies and integrate AI thoughtfully to enhance creativity while maintaining a human-led perspective.
