THE ROLE We are looking for a Senior People Advisor to be an operational expert and first point of contact for all people-related queries, providing day-to-day advice, guidance and coaching to ensure our managers lead their teams effectively, drive performance, and create an inclusive, high-performing culture. This role, new to the business, will work closely with the Head of People to ensure excellent service delivery to the organisation and support transformational people projects to consolidate the People function, develop a high-performing culture and enhance employees’ experience across the organisation during this exciting time of business growth. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-pace environment and getting involved in multiple projects and activities across all aspects of HR. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Talent Acquisition Supporting and advising hiring managers on therecruitment process and best practices Revising Job descriptions and publishing vacancies on ATS and other platforms Liaising with recruitment agencies as appropriate Coordinating the appointment process for successful applicants (employment contract, onboarding documentation, RTW, references etc) Supporting line managers during probationary period People Operations Manage employee lifecycle in line with our policies and processes (onboarding, offboarding, family friendly, etc) Support with the people inbox and escalate queries and questions to the appropriate level for resolution. Create and maintain accurate and up-to-date HR templates, scripts, and documentation to ensure a seamless advisory experience and support management capabilities. Deliver the implementation of the people agenda initiatives and ensure continuous enhancement of people-related processes to support organisational scaling. Coach and counsel managers and emerging leaders through challenging employee situations, sharing guidance on HR policies, procedures, and best practices, and escalating complex issues when needed. Professionally manage employee relations issues end-to-end including performance, attendance, disciplinary and grievance matters, ensuring fairness and consistency in decision-making and escalating complex cases to the Head of People Supporting with other people processes as appropriate (annual appraisals, contract changes, etc) Holiday requests – management of the process reporting on a quarterly basis and monitoring numbers during busy periods Assist with the review and drafting of new or existing policies Manage all absences including sickness, maternity, paternity, jury service etc HRIS & Payroll Ensuring HRIS (HiBob) and Payroll database is accurate and up to date at all times Supporting with thecollation of payroll information in a timely manner Supporting with the development of the HRIS Provide timely input on people analytics, data insights, and reporting as required in order to share people data and trends to drive empowered and inclusive stakeholder relationships. Culture and People experience Responsible for coordinating internal communication and company updates according to calendar schedule Coordinating quarterly employee gatherings and events Proactively identify opportunities and implement solutions to foster a positive working culture and improve employees’ experience THE IDEAL CANDIDATE 5+ years of relevant experience in similar role Experience working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks of different disciplines Up-to-date and comprehensive knowledge of HR practice, concepts and themes including employment law and employee relations issues The ability to listen, consider alternatives and manage diverse viewpoints with emotional intelligence. Able to plan and prioritise, using own initiative to meet deadlines and customer expectations. Ability to form positive working relationships with all stakeholders, and confidently advise employees and frontline managers on all people-related questions that arise Experience with people systems (HiBob desirable) including, but not limited to HR and e-learning platforms. Excellent communication skills that can reach a diverse audience Strong verbal and written skills Detail-oriented with excellent organisational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment Positive team player with a can-do attitude and friendly approach Act as role model and demonstrate and lead on the values, challenge behaviour and support the development of the culture of the organisation CIPD qualified (relevant qualification) or equivalent experience DeMellier is committed to fostering a workplace that reflects the diversity of our amazing, global customer base.
