We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented candidate to join the Demcom team in the role of: Accounts Admin Assistant
The role will provide support to the Demcom finance and project operations, paying particular attention to cost capturing and project operations.
Hours: Full-Time or part-time will be considered
Responsibilities:
Purchase Ledger Data Entry:
- Accurately input purchase invoices into the accounting system.
- Ensure all purchase orders, receipts, and deliveries are matched to corresponding invoices.
- Maintain and update supplier records and payment terms.
- Reconcile supplier statements and address any discrepancies.
Project Cost Tracking:
- Assist in tracking project costs, ensuring collect allocation of project costs.
- Support the project managers with cost control and analysis for ongoing projects.
- Generate and issue sales invoices for completed work or milestones reached on projects.
- Ensure all necessary supporting documentation (e.g., credit insurance acceptance, project questionnaire, credit account forms) are completed and in place before invoicing.
- Monitor overdue invoices and follow up with clients as needed.
- Assist with cash flow management by ensuring timely invoicing and payment collection.
Logging and Tracking Site Operations:
- Maintain accurate records of site operatives working on various projects, including attendance and work hours.
- Record inter-company labour worked.
General Administrative Support:
- Provide general administrative support to the accounts and project management teams.
- Assist with filing and organising project documentation, purchase orders, contracts, and invoices.
- Coordinate and communicate with internal teams, clients, and suppliers to ensure smooth operational processes.
Communication:
·Directors, Managers and Employees within the Demcom Group
·Suppliers
·Previous experience working in accounts or bookkeeping role.
·Excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
·Ability to work using own initiative where necessary.
·Ability to work with and interpret a high volume of data.
·Highly organised with the ability to work in a pressurised environment
·Demonstrate best practice at all times
·Software skills to include Xero and MS Office.
·Ability to be methodical and flexible in approach to tasks

·Ability to prioritise work amidst challenging demands on time
