As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will take centre stage in the design and development of material handling systems for modernisation and upgrade projects. Tasks And Qualifications

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transform project layouts and specifications into precise design solutions.
  • Define system integration drawings, unit cycle times, and throughput requirements.
  • Develop detailed mechanical drawings and parts lists for conveyor systems.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, customers, and subcontractors to drive project success.
  • Support system risk assessments, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
  • Liaise with purchasing, operations, and documentation teams to facilitate seamless execution.
  • Innovate new designs and product enhancements to meet market needs.

Who You Are

  • You hold an HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering (a degree is a plus!).
  • You have design experience in materials handling, with expertise in conveying systems.
  • You are proficient in CAD tools, preferably AutoCAD.
  • You enjoy problem-solving, teamwork, and tackling complex engineering challenges.
  • You are willing to travel to customer sites, ensuring seamless integration and execution.
