The Role

We are looking for a highly organised Junior Procurement & Planning Administrator to support our client\'s busy procurement and planning functions at their Head Office. This role is ideal for someone early in their procurement/supply chain career who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and detailed data.

You’ll play a key part in ensuring materials, components, and information flow smoothly through the business—helping the team maintain on-time delivery, accurate planning, and strong supplier relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the procurement team with day-to-day administrative tasks.
  • Raise, update and maintain purchase orders in line with requirements.
  • Proactively chase open orders and expedite deliveries where required.
  • Liaise with suppliers to confirm pricing, lead times and order status.
  • Assist with basic supplier negotiations to secure favourable terms.
  • Chase internal production departments to ensure timely completion of planned orders.
  • Maintain accurate data within the ERP/MRP system.
  • Resolve delivery discrepancies, invoice queries and documentation issues.
  • Monitor stock levels and support inventory control activities.

About You

  • Experience in a purchasing, supply chain or administrative role (desirable but not essential).
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Confident communicator able to build rapport with suppliers and internal teams.
  • Proactive, positive approach to problem solving and deadlines.
  • Comfortable working with data and systems (ERP/MRP experience an advantage).
  • Eager to learn and grow within procurement and planning functions.
