We are looking to support an engineering company looking for a Mechanical Fitter. The company design and manufacture bespoke capital equipment that is supplied globally and are a dynamic and growing business.
The Role
Reporting into the Production Manager and working within a mixed engineering team, the purpose of the role is to provide mechanical assembly, disassembly and testing on a range of bespoke technical machinery. You will be building structural components from engineering drawings based at their HQ in Cheshire day to day and supporting some of the installs on the customer sites as and when required which enhances your learning and development.
Qualifications
- Apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering, NVQ level 3
- Competent to read engineering drawings
- Experience with traditional mechanical fitting - making adjustments, using measuring equipment, tolerances, drilling, filling, tapping, experience on Lathes/Milling machinery
- Proven bench work and ideally have your own tools
- Open to sector within machinery build
- Strong attention to detail, team player mentality
- Pneumatics experience would be beneficial
- An engineering hobbyist would suit the profile really well
- Strong ethic towards health and safety
- Flexibility for assisting on the installs worldwide

For a 37.5 working week with a finish at 12:15 on a Friday, you will receive a generous base salary depending on experience level alongside 25 days holidays plus bank holidays, pension contribution scheme, overtime and expenses, compensation per day for travelling, sick pay scheme, 3 x life assurance plus other benefits.
