The Role
We are looking for a highly organised Junior Procurement & Planning Administrator to support our client\’s busy procurement and planning functions at their Head Office. This role is ideal for someone early in their procurement/supply chain career who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and enjoys working with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and detailed data.
You’ll play a key part in ensuring materials, components, and information flow smoothly through the business—helping the team maintain on‑time delivery, accurate planning, and strong supplier relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the procurement team with day‑to‑day administrative tasks.
- Raise, update and maintain purchase orders in line with requirements.
- Proactively chase open orders and expedite deliveries where required.
- Liaise with suppliers to confirm pricing, lead times and order status.
- Assist with basic supplier negotiations to secure favourable terms.
- Chase internal production departments to ensure timely completion of planned orders.
- Maintain accurate data within the ERP/MRP system.
- Resolve delivery discrepancies, invoice queries and documentation issues.
- Monitor stock levels and support inventory control activities.
About You
- Experience in a purchasing, supply chain or administrative role (desirable but not essential).
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Confident communicator able to build rapport with suppliers and internal teams.
- Proactive, positive approach to problem solving and deadlines.
- Comfortable working with data and systems (ERP/MRP experience an advantage).
- Eager to learn and grow within procurement and planning functions.
