Role Overview
As the HR Manager, you will oversee the complete HR function for UK operations, ensuring compliance, consistency, and excellence across all HR activities. You will partner closely with leadership teams across Europe to deliver effective HR collaborative solutions that support organisational success.
Key Responsibilities
- HR Strategy & Operations: Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures aligned with organisational goals and UK legislation. Manage the annual HR calendar, HR processes, and documentation.
- Talent Acquisition: Work with hiring managers to define role requirements and ensure an efficient and positive hiring journey.
- Employee Relations: Serve as the primary contact for employee relations matters. Provide guidance, support, and conflict resolution, fostering a positive and inclusive culture.
- Performance Management: Support managers with performance reviews, coaching, and development initiatives. Ensure consistent and fair application of performance management practices.
- Compliance & Reporting: Ensure full compliance with all UK employment laws and internal policies. Maintain HR records and prepare HR reporting and metrics.
- Training & Development: Identify training needs and coordinate relevant development programmes. Support progression, skills development, and career growth within the organisation. Assist with salary benchmarking, benefits administration, and coordination with external providers. Support payroll-related processes and ensure accuracy of employee data.
- Employee Engagement: Support leaders with engagement survey actions and follow-ups. Contribute to initiatives that enhance employee satisfaction and retention.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with managers and leadership teams across Europe to ensure strong communication and alignment with organisational objectives. Support onboarding and cross-department coordination.
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 5 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in an international and technical manufacturing or production environment.
- Strong understanding of UK and German employment law.
- Experience in recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and HR policy development.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems and MS Office Suite.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
- CIPD Level 5 or higher (preferred).
- Ability to travel occasionally within Europe when required.
