Are you a commercially minded finance professional who thrives in an operational, hands-on environment? We're working with a long-established UK engineering and manufacturing business looking to appoint a Finance & Operations Business Partner to support site leadership and drive financial performance across production, cost control and continuous improvement. This is a highly visible role partnering with senior stakeholders and department leads to provide meaningful financial insight, improve decision-making and strengthen commercial accountability across the site.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Provide insight on cost, performance and KPIs
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, standard costing and overhead analysis
  • Develop financial dashboards, MI and BI reporting for manufacturing leadership
  • Lead cost analysis and provide financial support for improvement projects
  • Support inventory control, stock accuracy, variances and cost of goods reporting
  • Review and improve bill of materials, routings and cost models for new products
  • Produce regular reporting on labour efficiency, production costs and operational KPIs
  • Assist with month-end, audit requirements and wider finance team activity

What You’ll Bring

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting or related discipline (ACA / CIMA / ACCA desirable)
  • Experience in a manufacturing, engineering or industrial organisation
  • Strong knowledge of standard costing, cost of goods, inventory and variance analysis
  • Confident working with ERP systems (experience with MS Dynamics NAV ideal)
  • Advanced Excel and strong data analysis capability
  • Able to influence, challenge and partner with operational leaders
