A global manufacturer of complex capital equipment is looking to add a Buyer to their supply chain team. This is a great opportunity for someone with MRP-driven purchasing experience who enjoys working closely with suppliers, operations and planning teams to keep manufacturing moving.
The Opportunity
- Take responsibility for a defined supplier base, managing purchase orders, lead times and delivery performance.
- Manage routine suppliers and day-to-day purchasing activity.
- Use MRP/ERP systems to place and manage purchase orders.
- Negotiate lead times, pricing and delivery commitments.
- Support production schedules and business objectives.
- Resolve supply issues and drive supplier performance.
- Work cross-functionally with planning, engineering and operations.
