We are recruiting on behalf of a successful, SME-sized manufacturing business based in the Chester/Wrexham area, which forms part of a well-established global organisation. The Role
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for delivering a proactive and professional HR service across the business. You will act as the trusted HR contact for managers and employees while ensuring compliance with employment legislation and supporting business objectives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing the full recruitment and onboarding process
- Providing HR advice and guidance to managers on employee relations matters including disciplinary, grievance, absence and performance management
- Preparing contracts, HR documentation and maintaining accurate employee records
- Supporting learning and development initiatives across the business
- Ensuring compliance with UK employment legislation and company policies
- Playing a key role in HR improvement projects, including a current payroll streamlining project
- Supporting employee engagement, wellbeing and continuous improvement initiatives
- Assisting with HR reporting and maintaining HR systems
About You
To be successful in this HR Generalist position, you will have experience working in a generalist HR role and be confident supporting managers across a wide range of HR activities.
You will ideally have:
- CIPD Level 3 qualification (or currently working towards it)
- Previous HR experience within manufacturing, engineering or a similar industrial environment
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
- Experience managing recruitment and employee relations casework
- Excellent organisational, communication and relationship-building skills
- A proactive, professional and confidential approach
- The ability to work independently while building strong relationships across the business
- Be commutable to Wrexham, Chester or the surrounding areas
