A specialist engineering manufacturing business is seeking a Supply Chain Manager to lead its procurement and supplier strategy. This is a key role focused on strengthening supplier relationships, improving processes and ensuring supply chain performance across quality, cost and delivery.
The Role:
You will be responsible for both strategic and operational supply chain activities, working closely with engineering, project and finance teams to ensure materials and services are in line with business requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead supplier identification, negotiation, appointment and their ongoing management
- Develop and improve supplier relationships, ensuring cost, quality and delivery targets are met
- Support project teams to secure materials and services in line with delivery schedules
- Implement supplier agreements, SLAs and purchasing frameworks
- Monitor KPIs, supplier performance and purchasing spend
- Drive continuous improvement across supply chain processes and procedures
Skills & Experience:
- Experience in a Supply Chain Manager or senior procurement role within manufacturing or engineering
- Strong commercial and negotiation skills with supplier management experience
- Proven ability to implement processes and drive continuous improvement
- Experience working cross-functionally with engineering, operations and finance teams
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
