A specialist engineering business is seeking a Product Design Engineer to join its growing team. The company designs and manufactures high-performance mobility products, working on bespoke, low-volume projects for a global client base. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a hands-on, design-led environment, where quality, detail and engineering performance are critical.
The Role - Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop mechanical components from concept through to production
- Create detailed CAD models and manufacturing drawings
- Ensure designs balance aesthetics, functionality and manufacturability
- Work closely with engineers, technicians and suppliers to develop production-ready components
- Support prototyping and iterative development using modern techniques
Skills & Experience:
- 3+ years' experience in product design, mechanical design or precision engineering
- Strong proficiency in 3D CAD (SolidWorks, Fusion 360 or similar)
- Experience designing for CNC machining, fabrication, casting or composite manufacture
- Understanding of materials, finishes and high-quality engineered products
- Ability to work collaboratively and take ownership of design projects
