Are you a Project Engineer who enjoys coordinating complex engineering projects from manufacture through to delivery? Do you have experience with welding, metallurgy, machining or testing environments? Are you looking for a hands-on, customer-facing role within a global engineering manufacturer?
A global manufacturer of bespoke engineered equipment is seeking a Project Engineer to join its operations team in Walsall.

The business designs and manufactures specialist machinery and engineered products used across the energy, oil & gas and utilities sectors, delivering complex projects to customers worldwide.


The Role
This is a key operational role where you will coordinate projects through manufacture, testing and delivery, acting as the central point between engineering, production, suppliers and customers.

You will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered to specification, on time and within budget while maintaining high standards of quality and HSE compliance.


Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate project execution from order through to manufacture, testing and delivery
  • Liaise with engineering, production, suppliers and customers to ensure smooth project delivery
  • Monitor project schedules, budgets and deliverables, reporting any risks or issues
  • Support workshop activities including assembly, testing and packaging of equipment
  • Ensure compliance with quality, HSE and customer requirements throughout the project lifecycle

Skills & Experience
  • Experience in Project Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations or Project Execution
  • Engineering qualification or relevant technical background
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and technical specifications
  • Experience or knowledge of machining, welding, forging, metallurgy or testing environments
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
