An established international engineering and manufacturing organisation is seeking a Head of Finance to lead the financial activities of its £30m business unit.
The company designs and manufactures specialist process equipment, including filtration and separation technologies, for customers across aerospace, pharmaceutical, life science, chemical and industrial markets.
Operating within a €2bn German-headquartered corporate group, the business offers the resources and stability of a global organisation alongside the autonomy and responsibility of a smaller manufacturing operation.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded finance leader looking to take ownership of financial performance, support business growth and develop towards a future Finance Director position .
The Role As Head of Finance, you'll take responsibility for the financial management and performance of the business unit, working closely with senior leadership and operational teams.
You'll lead financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, manufacturing cost control and working capital management, ensuring the business has the financial insight needed to make informed commercial decisions.
You'll also play a key role in finance transformation, process improvement and developing financial capability , helping modernise reporting systems and strengthen operational performance.
Key Responsibilities Lead financial management, reporting, budgeting, forecasting and performance analysis across the £30m manufacturing business.
Oversee manufacturing finance activities, including standard costing, COGS, inventory valuation, working capital and variance analysis.
Partner with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain and Commercial teams to improve margins, control costs and support strategic investment decisions.
Manage financial consolidation, group reporting, statutory compliance, audits and internal financial controls.
Drive continuous improvement across ERP systems, reporting automation, financial processes and the development of the finance function.
Skills & Experience Fully qualified accountant ( CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent ) with experience as a Head of Finance, Financial Controller, Finance Manager or Business Unit Controller.
Strong background within engineering, manufacturing, industrial equipment or process equipment manufacturing .
Excellent knowledge of manufacturing accounting, standard costing, inventory, budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.
Experience working within an international corporate structure, including group reporting, financial controls and ERP systems.
Strong commercial awareness, leadership and business partnering skills, with the ability to influence senior management and drive continuous improvement.
