The Opportunity
As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you'll play a key role in the design, validation and development of advanced electro-mechanical systems, working across the full product lifecycle from concept through to production. You'll join a collaborative multidisciplinary R&D environment where innovation, technical excellence and continuous improvement are at the heart of everything they do.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of mechanical sub-assemblies and precision mechanisms
- Define mechanical performance specifications from system-level requirements
- Carry out design calculations, validation activities and engineering analysis
- Support prototype development, testing and introduction into manufacturing
- Collaborate closely with electronics, software, manufacturing and operations teams
- Ensure designs meet quality, cost, performance and reliability objectives
About You - Skills & Experience
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
- 5+ years experience in mechanical design and product development
- Proven experience delivering products through the full design lifecycle
- Strong understanding of precision engineering, mechanisms and manufacturing processes
- Knowledge of drives, controls and electro-mechanical systems
