The Role

As a Field Service Engineer, you'll be responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance and repair of sophisticated electro-mechanical and software-driven automation equipment at customer sites across the South East. Working from home and managing your own diary, you'll become a trusted technical expert for customers, ensuring equipment performance is maximised and downtime is minimised. This is a regional role with limited overnight stays required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, commission and maintain automated equipment at customer sites
  • Diagnose and resolve electro-mechanical, electrical and software related faults
  • Carry out preventative maintenance and service visits
  • Provide technical support and advice to customers
  • Identify opportunities for upgrades, enhancements and additional services

About You - Skills & Experiences:

  • Proven experience as a Field Service Engineer, Maintenance Engineer or Service Technician
  • Strong electro-mechanical fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience working with automated equipment, machinery or industrial systems
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Excellent customer facing and communication skills

Desirable Skills:

  • Conveyors, automated handling systems or warehouse automation
  • PLC diagnostics and control systems
  • Software-driven machinery and automation equipment
  • Manufacturing, logistics or industrial automation environments
