Expeditor - Engineering & Manufacturing Location: Walsall Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 DOE Job Type: Permanent | Full-Time Sector: Engineering | Manufacturing | Oil & Gas | Energy Are you an Expeditor, Project Engineer or Supply Chain professional with experience in engineering or manufacturing? Do you enjoy solving issues and keeping complex projects moving? An established global engineering manufacturer is looking to recruit an Expeditor to join its team in Walsall. The business designs and manufactures bespoke engineered equipment and components for customers operating across the Oil & Gas, Energy and industrial sectors. This is a hands-on position where you'll take responsibility for ensuring purchased materials, components and services arrive on time and in accordance with project requirements, helping keep manufacturing and customer projects on schedule. The Role As an Expeditor, you'll manage and monitor purchase orders from placement through to delivery. You'll work closely with suppliers to understand manufacturing processes, identify potential delays and take action before they impact project schedules. Internally, you'll collaborate with Purchasing, Projects, Engineering and Production, giving you broad exposure across the manufacturing operation. Key Responsibilities Monitor and expedite purchase orders, materials and components from order placement through to delivery Liaise directly with suppliers to confirm manufacturing progress, lead times and agreed delivery dates Proactively identify and resolve supply chain delays, escalating critical issues before they impact project schedules work closely with Purchasing, Engineering, Production and Project teams to align supplier deliveries with manufacturing requirements About You The client are open to candidates from Expediting, Procurement, Purchasing, Supply Chain or Project Engineering backgrounds who understand how materials and components move through an engineering manufacturing environment. Ideally you'll have: Previous experience within an engineering, manufacturing, fabrication or technical environment Experience expediting orders, managing suppliers, purchasing components or coordinating engineering projects Confidence communicating with suppliers and challenging delivery dates when required Ability to understand engineering drawings, technical specifications or manufacturing documentation Strong organisation and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple orders, suppliers and deadlines simultaneously Why Apply?
