We are supporting a well-established, high-tech machinery build company that is currently looking to add a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to the structure due to growth. The company designs and manufactures bespoke capital equipment that is supplied globally and is a dynamic and growing business that is very well regarded in their sector.
The Role
Reporting to the Electrical Design Manager, as a Senior Electrical Design Engineer you will be responsible for end-to-end electrical tasks – including sizing calculations for drives and motors, current, and panel cooling. You will be allocated a project that will take anywhere from 6 to 12 weeks to complete, depending on the complexity. After the initial phase, you will provide technical support for the Assembly team in Production during the wiring process. You will also work with Procurement by releasing a BOM so they can acquire the necessary parts.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- 5+ years of industrial experience in a similar Senior Electrical Design Engineer role
- Experience in control panel design
- Manufacturing experience within complex machinery build
- EPLAN experience is desirable
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Capability to work to tight deadlines
