Are you an experienced Business Development Manager with experience selling into a range of sectors? Are you looking for a role where you can own a territory and become the technical market specialist? A global engineering manufacturer is looking to recruit a Business Development Manager to develop sales across South West England & Wales.
The business designs and manufactures specialist process equipment supplied to customers operating within a range of sectors including pharmaceutical, lifesciences, automotive, electronics and advanced manufacturing. This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly respected engineering organisation where you'll work closely within technical specialists, engineering teams and senior leadership to grow an established territory whilst developing new business opportunities.
The Role
Reporting into the UK leadership team, you’ll be responsible for developing long-term customer relationships whilst identifying new projects across your territory. This is a consultative sales role selling engineered solutions rather than commodity products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop new business across your territory from new and existing accounts
- Manage the sales process from enquiry through quotation to order
- Produce accurate sales forecasts and maintain CRM activity
- Work closely with engineering, project delivery and service teams
- Attend customer meetings, site visits and industry exhibitions
Skills & Experience:
- 5+ years' experience in Business Development, Technical Sales or Area Sales
- Experience selling capital equipment with proven success selling into a range of sectors
- Strong commercial awareness and relationship-building skills
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to winning new business
