Plexus has a great opportunity with one of our long-term clients in the global payments space. They are an established next-generation payments company, allowing users to accept payment methods across 170+ countries. They are looking for a senior software engineer to join the team and help build and scale infrastructure, powering global payments.
Role
- Build and operate core payment infrastructure, including high-throughput processing, merchant APIs/SDKs, and real-time fraud systems.
- Architect and scale distributed systems with strong performance, reliability, and observability.
- Own product features end-to-end, collaborating with Product and Design from concept through production.
- Ensure production excellence through monitoring, alerting, and rapid debugging.
Responsibilities
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js, with React experience a plus.
- Deep understanding of RESTful API design, databases, and distributed systems fundamentals.
- Comfortable working with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or similar).
- Proven ability to ship, operate, and iterate on production systems over time.
- Experience in payments, fintech, or blockchain/crypto environments.
