Headquarters are in Los Angeles with offices globally; the company employs over 3,500 people.
The Digital Cinema Mastering Operator is responsible for the preparation of source assets, quality control and creation of deliverables that are distributed around the world. This includes a variety of multimedia formats including Quicktimes and Digital Cinema Packages (DCPs) using both manual and automated methods. Operators will use industry standard software such as DVS Clipster, Transkoder, Protools and Media Encoder to provide bespoke services to all major and indie film studios. Elements handled include image, sound and subtitles from various source formats and must be conformed to client specifications and DCI standards for theatrical release.
You must be able to work as part of a 24/7 team. Successful candidates should have a keen eye for detail, an interest in working in the film industry and be used to working to tight deadlines whilst producing high quality work. All relevant training will be provided to fulfil this role.
Role and Responsibilities:- Mastering of both feature and trailer Digital Cinema Packages (DCPs) including Dubbed, Subtitled, 2D, 3D, 2K, 4K and HFR versions
- Use of DVS Clipster, Transkoder, Protools and Avid Media Encoder
- Content review and quality checking a wide variety of materials
- Creation and distribution of short form Prores master files as well as downstream deliverables for global distribution
- Checking and conform of source files in preparation of DCP Mastering
- Creating censor cuts using creative editing techniques
- Validation of DCPs
- Perform quality control checks on all forms of department deliverables
- Perform analysis of information and accurate record keeping in our work order and catalogue systems
- Communicate effectively with team members and other departments within the company
- Troubleshoot issues raised internally and externally regarding DCPs
- The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in cinema and the media industry, as well as:

- Ability to problem solve creatively and spot inefficiencies within current workflows and processes
- Experience handling sensitive and confidential information
- Be well organised and be able to manage multiple tasks at the same time
