We are looking for a Project Manager with strong experience in operational change and commercial projects within a financial services environment. This role is a 12 month fixed term contract with the potential to go permanent. This is a hybrid role that requires up to 3 days in their offices in Surrey.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of operational and regulatory projects within a complex programme environment.
- Establish project structures, governance, plans, RAID logs, and status reporting.
- Ensure that projects meet regulatory deadlines, business objectives, and operational realities.
- Deliver initiatives linked to FCA and insurance regulations (e.g., Consumer Duty, operational resilience, complaints handling, conduct requirements).
- Engage and influence stakeholders across operations, compliance, finance, and senior leadership.
- Facilitate workshops, steering groups, and decision-making forums.
- Build trust quickly and keep diverse stakeholders aligned to timelines and outcomes.
- Proactively identify project risks, regulatory exposures, and delivery blockers.
- Ensure strong documentation, structured governance, and audit-ready project artefacts.
Skills & Experience Required
- Proven experience as a Project Manager delivering operational, business, or regulatory change projects.
- Experience in insurance or broader financial services.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Skilled at managing non-technical business projects.
- Confident influencing and managing stakeholders in a complex, fast-paced environment.
- Strong governance, risk management, and planning capability.
