My client is seeking a skilled and strategic Product Owner - Salesforce (CRM) to lead the continuous development and evolution of our Salesforce platform across our Retail business units, including Motor Finance and Premium Finance. Salesforce has been adopted as our core customer and partner relationship management tool and is a key enabler of our business strategy. It serves as the single source of truth for partner data and supports the success of sales, marketing, and operational functions.
The Product Owner will be responsible for maximising the value delivered through Salesforce, defining the platform vision and strategy, and ensuring alignment with overall business goals. This includes managing the CRM backlog, prioritising delivery, and ensuring the platform continues to evolve in line with user needs and technological advancements.
This is a leadership role that acts as the key interface between business stakeholders and technology teams, balancing strategic direction with operational excellence and driving a continuous delivery mindset. The successful candidate will also guide the transition from project-based CRM deployments to a business-as-usual (BAU) model and ensure governance processes enable transparency, collaboration, and value realisation.
You will be a Salesforce expert and experienced product owner who can influence at senior levels, own strategic outcomes, and guide our agile delivery model across multiple business functions.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and shape the vision and strategy for Retail CRM, aligned to future-state business models.
- Act as the figurehead of the Retail CRM team, guiding structure, governance, and best practices.
- Own and manage the Salesforce product roadmap and backlog across all retail business units.
- Champion the platform’s value proposition and drive adoption across business functions.
- Encourage cross-functional collaboration to capture, validate and prioritise requirements.
- Ensure agile delivery processes are embedded and understood across the organisation.
- Manage the transition from project-based implementations to a continuous delivery model.
- Continuously demonstrate commercial value and measurable benefit through the CRM pipeline.
- Drive platform adoption, user training, and engagement across sales and marketing teams.
- Build strong relationships with Salesforce and its ISV partner ecosystem to understand and leverage platform innovations.
- Manage third-party vendors and internal operations teams with respect to contract, pricing, and service delivery.
- Collaborate with other product owners across the wider business to ensure coordinated solutions and shared value.
- Work closely with internal change and technology teams to ensure high-impact delivery and strategic alignment.
- Maintain adherence to governance, risk, and compliance standards, ensuring accurate reporting and regulatory compliance.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Salesforce.com and its application in a B2B sales environment.
- Experience working with Salesforce ISV (Independent Software Vendor) partners.
- Proven track record of supporting both telephony and field-based sales teams.
- Strong experience in Agile methodologies and acting as a Product Owner in agile teams.
- Demonstrable experience leading strategic technology programmes across complex stakeholder groups.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills across a matrixed organisation.
- Strong communication, presentation, and influencing skills at all organisational levels.
- Ability to make data-driven decisions and articulate strategic platform benefits.
- Skilled in driving platform adoption and user-centric continuous improvement.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to deliver tangible business outcomes.
- Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or equivalent Agile qualification.
- Salesforce certifications (Admin, Sales Cloud Consultant, etc.).
