We’re looking for a high‑calibre PMO Manager to join our client’s Project Delivery Team on a maternity cover contract through to Summer 2027. This is a rare opportunity to play a pivotal role in delivering a portfolio of strategic, operational, and regulatory projects at the heart of the firm.

In this role, you’ll operate at the centre of decision‑making, enabling the successful delivery of projects that shape the firm’s future. From strategic transformation programmes to legally driven change initiatives and core business improvements, you’ll ensure everything runs with structure, clarity, and precision. Working closely with the Head of Project Delivery, senior stakeholders, and project owners, you’ll bring rigour to governance, drive best practice, and elevate PMO capability across the organisation.

You will:

  • Lead the PMO function across a diverse portfolio of transformation and BAU projects
  • Establish and enhance project governance, reporting, and controls
  • Drive pipeline visibility, tracking progress from concept through delivery
  • Produce high‑quality insightful reporting and materials for senior leadership and C‑suite forums
  • Define and implement best practice PMO frameworks, tools, and templates
  • Collaborate with Project Managers and stakeholders to ensure alignment, progress tracking, and delivery discipline
  • Champion continuous improvement in processes, documentation, and ways of working
  • Provide hands‑on support to project teams, including mobilisation and delivery guidance
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (including SRA standards)
  • Act as a trusted partner to stakeholders, building confidence through clarity and delivery excellence

Essential experience:

  • Proven success in a PMO Manager / PMO Lead role within complex organisations
  • Strong track record supporting large‑scale transformation or change programmes
  • Expertise in governance, reporting, and PMO framework design
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels
  • Strong operational mindset with a passion for process improvement and delivery excellence

Desirable:

  • Experience within legal or professional services environments
  • Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Smartsheets, HighQ, Trello
  • Project management qualifications (PRINCE2, PMP, or similar)
  • Experience mentoring or developing PMO / project team members
  • Understanding of legal financial processes (e.g. revenue or credit control)
