I am currently working with a legal services client on an exciting Head of Finance and Practice Management Systems. This is a Permanent role that requires 3 days a week in their London offices.
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- Proven experience supporting finance and practice management systems in a professional services or legal environment.
- Deep understanding of practice management platforms (e.g. Aderant Expert), financial operations, and legal billing processes.
- Excellent stakeholder management and vendor negotiation skills. Able to influence senior stakeholders.
- Experience with large-scale system upgrades, cloud transitions, and cross-functional programme delivery working in an Agile delivery environment.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to deliver in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities to meet the needs of the business.
Key responsibilities:
- Proactively support the development and execution of the firm\'s finance and practice management systems roadmap, ensuring alignment with firmwide transformation initiatives and enterprise architecture standards.
- Guide the integration of core systems (e.g. Expert, Intapp, Emburse) to support consistent, reliable, and efficient financial and operational processes.
- Monitor vendor roadmaps and market trends, including attending conferences as relevant, to inform internal strategy and investment planning.
- Act as the firm\'s point of contact for key stakeholder escalations, working closely with regional finance leads, IT, and practice management stakeholders.
- Ensure readiness for go-lives, including change and comms activities, user training, data validation, and business continuity planning working closely with the delivery teams, including the Programme Management Office.
