We are looking for a seasoned IT Project Manager with strong experience in operational change. This role is a permanent position that requires 3 days a week in the offices in Birmingham.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with key stakeholders to gather and understand requirements related to operational needs and system enhancements.
- Translate and validate these requirements with stakeholders, ensuring alignment and agreement that the scope of work is accurately defined.
- Evaluate the impact of requirements on existing systems and operational processes to support the development of an effective delivery plan.
- Oversee the end-to-end project lifecycle, utilising established governance and planning processes, and provide regular progress updates to stakeholders.
- Ensure delivery remains aligned with agreed timelines and business objectives.
- Manage operational changes and coordinate training initiatives to support teams during the rollout of new solutions.
- Monitor system performance to ensure ongoing service availability.
- Lead incident and problem resolution processes, working closely with third-party support providers where required to ensure timely issue resolution.
- Track and report on service performance metrics to stakeholders.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement across all activities.
- Collaborate with external vendors to obtain cost estimates and timelines in line with the delivery plan.
Skills & Experience Required
- Experience of business requirements gathering and translation into a SOW.
- Understanding of operational change process management.
- Experience of Dynamics 365 CRM & Business Central type systems or other similar products.
- Excellent working knowledge of Azure based platforms and Microsoft product suites.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines and stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear notes, including the compilation and delivery of presentations to senior stakeholders where necessary.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive, solutions-focused approach.
- Confidence using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently, manage competing demands and adapt to changing priorities.
