The ideal candidate will have experience in negotiating, drafting, and managing contracts across various geographies, with a strong focus on supplier and customer agreements. This role requires a proactive legal professional who can provide commercially focused legal advice while mitigating risks and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and assist business affairs through contractual negotiation across various jurisdictions.
  • Support the business in handling international commercial contracts, including drafting, negotiation, and transaction management.
  • Prepare, review, and mark up contractual provisions related to NDAs, Master Services Agreements, Terms & Conditions of Sale and Purchase, License Agreements, Consultancy Agreements and other relevant contracts.
  • Provide timely and effective drafting, negotiation, and contract management for suppliers, partners and clients to achieve optimal business outcomes.
  • Deliver high-quality legal advice across different business areas in a practical and commercially focused manner, reducing risks and resolving legal issues.
  • Assist in private bid procedures by ensuring legal compliance and managing associated risks.
  • Liaise with external legal counsel to manage litigation, national and international disputes, and arbitration proceedings.
  • Review and negotiate settlement agreements to ensure the best legal and financial interests of the company.

Requirements

  • Fluency in English (both written and spoken).
  • LPC/LLM or CLE or BAR or qualified lawyers outside of England that received an approval from SRA.
  • A minimum of ¾ years of experience in an international law firm or as part of the legal department of a multinational company.
  • Solid familiarity with industry practices and professional standards in commercial and contractual law.
  • Strong knowledge of contract reporting procedures and record-keeping.
  • An analytical mindset with the ability to navigate complex legal procedures and regulations.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders.
  • Strong drafting skills, with a focus on precision and clarity.
  • Exceptional teamwork and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate across different departments and functions.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
  • Willingness to travel when required.
