We are seeking an experienced and proactive Contracts Manager, Service Manager or Service Sales Manager to oversee the delivery of mechanical, electrical, and HVAC maintenance services across a diverse portfolio of commercial and industrial clients. This role is commercially driven; you will be growing an established division, account managing over 100 existing clients to increase revenue. As the company grows, you will be eligible for organic progression to Operations Manager or similar job title.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end performance of multiple maintenance contracts, ensuring compliance with SLAs and KPIs
- Act as the primary client contact, building strong relationships and ensuring high customer satisfaction
- Oversee PPM, reactive maintenance, and minor project delivery across M&E and HVAC disciplines
- Monitor contract financials, including budgeting, forecasting, margin control, and reporting
- Lead and support engineering teams, including scheduling, resource allocation, and subcontractor management
- Ensure all works comply with statutory requirements, H&S legislation, and company procedures
- Conduct site audits, contract reviews, and performance meetings
- Identify opportunities for contract growth, additional works, and service improvements
- Prepare reports, proposals, and necessary documentation
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a Contracts Manager (or similar role) within an M&E or HVAC maintenance environment
- Strong technical understanding of M&E and HVAC systems
- Mechanical engineering qualifications
- Excellent communication, client management, and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage multiple contracts and teams in a fast-paced environment
- Strong commercial awareness and experience managing contract budgets
- Knowledge of compliance requirements and health & safety standards
- Full UK driving licence
