At Bigyn school, relationships are at the heart of everything we do. We are committed to fostering a culture built upon trust, belonging, wellbeing and high expectations, underpinned by relational and restorative approaches that enable pupils, staff and families to thrive.

We are looking for a leader who:

  • Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills, building strong partnerships with pupils, families, governors, the Local Authority, health colleagues and wider agencies.
  • Has a deep understanding of Additional Learning Needs and inclusive practice.
  • Can drive continuous improvement through evidence-informed decision-making, ensuring high-quality teaching, learning and support for all pupils.
  • Understands the importance of wellbeing for both pupils and staff and prioritises creating a nurturing environment where everyone can flourish.
  • Has a strong understanding of the Curriculum for Wales and a commitment to delivering ambitious, authentic and meaningful learning experiences that inspire all learners to achieve their full potential.
  • Demonstrates a strong commitment to nurturing a Welsh ethos, language and culture, while promoting a strong sense of local identity and cynefin, enabling pupils to develop a deep understanding of their heritage, community and place within Wales and the wider world

We can offer you:

  • A welcoming, inclusive and multicultural school community where diversity is celebrated and every individual is valued.
  • Enthusiastic pupils who are eager to learn.
  • A talented, dedicated and caring staff who are committed to making a difference every day.
  • Supportive and ambitious governors who are passionate about the future of the school.
  • Strong partnerships with families, external agencies and the wider community.
  • A culture that values collaboration, wellbeing, professional growth and continuous improvement.
  • High-quality professional learning and leadership development opportunities.
  • The chance to make a lasting difference to the lives of children and young people within a truly inclusive school community.

Equality monitoring information is not accessible by recruiting managers at any stage.
