Responsibilities:

  • Serve healthy nutritious meals to pupils whilst ensuring that the dining room area is clean and hygienic.
  • Set up and clear away tables.
  • Perform general cleaning duties.
  • Maintain accurate records for pupils who have food allergies and special dietary requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to build good relationships with adults and children based on mutual respect.
  • Knowledge of basic food safety (an advantage, but not essential; full training will be given).
  • Good communication and people skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
  • Flexibility and willingness to assist with other catering duties.

Additional Requirements:

  • Basic conversational Welsh (Level 2). Reasonable support can be provided on appointment to reach this level.
  • An Enhanced Barred List Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check will be requested for this job.
