Role Overview

The Headteacher and Governors wish to appoint an ALN Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting children with additional learning needs in their education and development to become independent and confident individuals.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with lesson planning and preparation
  • Provide support to pupils during lessons and activities
  • Help create a positive and nurturing learning environment
  • Monitor and record pupil progress
  • Provide feedback to teachers and parents/carers
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Work effectively as part of a team

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Experience working with children with additional learning needs is desirable.
  • Basic knowledge of Welsh is required.
  • DBS check will be requested as part of the recruitment process.
  • Applicants barred from engaging in regulated activity relevant to children or adults at risk are not eligible.
  • Applicants must have legal right to work in the United Kingdom.
