This is an exciting opportunity to join Carmarthenshire County Council’s children’s residential service. We are investing significantly into our residential provision and collaborating with adult services to ensure positive transitions for young adults with complex needs and disabilities.

We are looking for staff who have the right values, motivation and commitment to work in this rewarding yet challenging role. You will become part of a team providing a stimulating, nurturing environment to enable our children and young people to reach their full potential. It is not essential that you have previous experience of working in residential homes as we recognise that individuals come with a wide range of experiences and transferable skills. We offer an excellent induction and training package, including supporting you to attain a level 3 qualification in working with Children and Young people, if you do not already have this.

You will be required to work shifts on a rota basis. This includes working evenings, weekends and bank holidays.

An Enhanced with Barred List Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check will be requested for this job. It is an offence to apply for the role if the applicant is barred from engaging in regulated activity relevant to children or adults at risk. Level 2 - You will need a basic level of conversational Welsh. Reasonable support can be provided on appointment to reach this level.
