Carmarthenshire County Council is seeking an experienced, motivated and forward-thinking professional to lead its Parking Service. This is a leadership role with real influence and responsibility, providing operational direction for the management and enforcement of on and off-street parking.

The successful candidate will lead service delivery, performance and continuous improvement, taking ownership of significant budgets, contracts and resources. You will lead a team to promote safe traffic movement, manage operational planning, and ensure regulatory compliance, requiring strong leadership, project management, and stakeholder collaboration.

Essential requirements include:

  • A degree-level qualification or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience in managing both on-street and off-street parking services in a political environment and as a successful business entity.
  • Strong leadership, financial management and compliance expertise.
  • Excellent communication, analytical and stakeholder engagement skills.

This permanent post offers an exciting opportunity to play a key leadership role in shaping and safeguarding the Council’s parking services.
