Graduate Building Surveyor – Property Stock Condition Team

Key Responsibilities

Work as part of the Property Maintenance Team responsible for assessing and maintaining the Council’s diverse building portfolio, including schools, care homes and public facilities. Provide vital data and insights to support investment decisions and ensure buildings remain safe, compliant and fit for purpose.

Key Qualifications & Skills

  • Graduate level education, with a Professional or Postgraduate qualification desirable.
  • Adaptable, organised, a problem solver, detail‑focused.
  • Strong data analytical and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication with peers, managers and stakeholders.
  • People‑oriented, capable of building working relationships and trust.
  • Willingness to learn and develop knowledge of services in Carmarthenshire.
  • Comfortable with IT skills and industry‑specific software.

Welsh Language

Level 3: good level of conversational Welsh. Reasonable support can be provided on appointment to reach this level.
