The predicted salary is between 13.69 - 15.31 £ per hour.

We are seeking a motivated and organised Project Support Officer to join our Flood & Coastal Erosion Risk Management (FCERM) team. The post holder will be responsible for providing comprehensive project, administrative and coordination support to the Flood and Coastal Erosion Risk Management Team supporting the project managers in the delivery of capital projects. They will work using initiative to organise meetings, maintain project documentation, coordinate stakeholders, and support data collation, ensuring professional and effective project governance in line with industry standards. The role requires flexibility, including supporting flood incident response and occasional work outside normal office hours when required. The post is grant funded and is offered on a full time, temporary contract running between financial years up to 31st March 2027.

What you’ll do:

  • Organise meetings, workshops and contractor engagement.
  • Prepare agendas, papers and accurate minutes.
  • Chase actions and ensure timely updates.
  • Support communication outputs including web and social media content.
  • Maintain secure electronic and paper filing systems.
  • Ensure confidentiality of sensitive and commercial information.
  • Support data collation, analysis and interpretation for evaluation, benefits tracking and reporting.
  • Support the production of high-quality reports and presentations.
  • Support procurement and contract administration.
  • Assist with general administrative tasks.

What we’re looking for:

  • Project management qualification or equivalent experience of project management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to work independently.
  • Team-oriented and adaptable.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams and SharePoint.
  • Understanding of project management processes.
  • Experience working in a busy project environment across multiple projects and completing priorities.
  • Experience organising meetings or events.
  • Experience maintaining databases or electronic systems.
  • Ability to travel across sites.
  • Flexible and responsive to service needs.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid structure which is currently a 2 day minimum in the office in Carmarthen.
