We are looking for a passionate and driven Economic Development Officer for Projects & Funding to join the team and help shape the future of regeneration within the county. As an Economic Development Officer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Projects and Funding Coordinator, and will be instrumental in developing and implementing projects as well as third‑party grant funds.

As an officer you will also identify new external funding opportunities and prepare, develop, and submit funding bids. The role requires you to support the management of project teams through key stages of project development, and work closely with design, development, and property professionals to deliver outstanding results.

You will work as part of a friendly, supportive team who work closely together to meet tight deadlines and targets.

Your role will require you to be flexible, have the ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team, and create effective working relationships both internally and externally. You must have excellent communication skills.

Previous experience of preparing and submitting external funding applications would be desirable.

The role is based in our main office in Carmarthen, but on some occasions you may be required to work elsewhere within the county.
