The role:
The Cleaning Service provides an essential service throughout the County of Carmarthenshire. The team maintains high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the County’s schools to ensure a clean and safe environment. This role is term‑time cleaning with additional holiday cleaning of up to 10 days. Hours depend on the contract signed by each school.
Responsibilities:
- Dusting, sweeping, vacuuming and mopping.
- Emptying waste bins and replenishing consumable items.
- Deep cleaning as required.
- Using cleaning equipment, machinery and chemicals in accordance with health and safety guidance.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
- Flexibility to assist with other cleaning requirements.
- Enhanced with Barred List Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check required.
- Basic knowledge of Welsh (Level 1) – reasonable support will be provided.
