Assistant Energy Officer in Carmarthen

Hourly Rate: £14.82 - £16.90

Contract Hours: 37 hours

Come and join our team! Are you interested in energy, sustainability and making a practical difference across public services? Join our Energy Team as an Assistant Energy Officer and play an important role in supporting the Council’s management of energy use, cost, and carbon reporting across its estate. Your work will directly contribute to more efficient use of resources and the delivery of the Authority’s Net Zero ambitions.

In this role, you will help maintain accurate energy and utility data, support billing and metering processes, respond to routine energy enquiries, and assist with reporting and compliance activities that underpin the Authority’s wider climate and sustainability commitments.

We are looking for a well-organised and motivated individual with strong numeracy, IT and data handling skills, and an interest in energy, climate change and sustainability. The post offers opportunities for training and professional development within the Energy Team. Relevant qualifications are essential, and experience of energy, utilities or asset information would be an advantage.
